Static-X
The Wisconsin Death Trip rises again!
Can't believe that it's been 20 years since the release of their first album. I have always been a fan and was so happy that they got back together and decided to go on tour. But it wasn't just me who was also excited, fellow Portlanders where too. The band had to add a second show at the Hawthorne due to the first one selling out so fast. Which was totally awesome as I wouldn't have been able to enjoy this show if they hadn't. But what's even more exciting is that they are releasing a new album in May, called Project Regeneration. They found a bunch of lost tapes that only had Wayne's vocals on and are using them for this album. They have released one song, Hollow, and it is super sick. I'm looking forward to the full album and listening to them at the gym. I'm honestly not a metal genre fan, but Static-X really illustrates true musicians and discipline with their precision and range. One of my favorite bands to work out to.
Opening up for them was Davey Suicide from Washington. December 16th, 2019
