Pedro The Lion
Northwest indie rock artist David Bazan has gone by many aliases, but one was always a fan favorite and that was, Pedro The Lion. Being a musician is never easy and David hasn't been shy about sharing the ups and downs of being an artist and combating your personal karma. His latest album, Phoenix, is a much marinated personal homecoming. Having grown up in the Arizona town, he went back to stay with his family while on his solo tour. There, after 30 years of being away, he realized that he still had lots of childhood baggage that was hindering his creativity. Now back on tour, his fans have graciously re-embraced him and showed their support by packing Portland's Revolution Hall. He played on February 22nd and I shot these photos for Vortex Music Magazine.
